With the increasing use of birth interventions, many women don’t have the birth experience they had hoped for.

Many women comment that what they experienced at their birth was ‘unexpected’, ‘traumatic’ and ‘not how they had planned’, which leaves them asking many questions and often feeling unresolved about their birth experience.

Birth debriefing offers the opportunity for a greater understanding of what happened at your birth, along with the opportunity for your story to be heard and counselled with a woman that understands the birthing world and the impact of unmet expectations.

I had a birth debrief with Jules after my first birth as I felt in shock after the experience. Having the time to sit and have someone really listen to my story made all the difference to help me understand what happened. I identified that I had a lot of grief about the loss of the experience that I had hoped for and that was ok. I am so grateful to Jules for her gentle and caring presence and giving me the opportunity to be heard.
